Reading Man Charged with Witness Tampering

Keith Canyon was charged today in a second superseding indictment with two counts of armed bank robbery, two counts of using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, one count of obstruction of justice, and one count of witness tampering, announced United States Attorney Zane David Memeger. The charges stem from two separate armed robberies of a Fulton Bank branch located in Reading, PA.

INFORMATION REGARDING THE DEFENDANT
NAME: Keith Canyon
ADDRESS: Reading, PA
AGE OR YEAR OF BIRTH: 23 years old

If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum of 32 years’ imprisonment, five years of supervised release, a fine of $1,500,000, and a $600 special assessment.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Reading Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul G. Shapiro.
