Robbery of the PNC Bank in Prospect Park

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Prospect Park Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the PNC Bank Branch in Prospect Park earlier today.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., the subject entered the PNC Bank branch at 501 Chester Pike, Prospect Park, Pennsylvania, and stood for a few minutes at the customer island before approaching a teller and presenting a threatening demand note. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled the area of bank on foot. There were no injuries.

The subject is described as a black male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, thick build, with a thin mustache and goatee, close-cut hair, wearing a black knit cap, a large dark-colored winter jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes or boots. This subject is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI in Newtown Square at 610-353-4500, or the Prospect Park Police Department at 610-534-2222. There may be a reward for information leading to the apprehension of this individual, and tipsters can remain anonymous.
