Robbery of the Beneficial Bank

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the subject responsible for the robbery of the Beneficial Bank branch located at 826 East Allegheny Avenue earlier today.

At just before noon today, the unidentified male entered the branch and presented threatening demand note to a teller. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the subject fled on foot headed eastbound on Allegheny Avenue and then northbound on H Street. The subject is described as a Hispanic male in his mid 30’s, 5”6” to 5’8” tall, medium build, with a mustache, wearing a dark baseball cap with a “P” on the front, a light blue t-shirt and a dark blue jacket. The subject’s skin and/or clothes may possibly be stained.

Two photographs from the bank’s security cameras are below. This subject is considered armed and dangerous, and anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to the identification and apprehension of this subject. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
