Seeking Information on Philadelphia Bank Robbery

FBI Philadelphia January 17, 2009

The FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance to identify and locate two subjects who are responsible for the armed robbery of the Third Federal Bank branch located at 905 North 2nd Street in Philadelphia today, January 17, 2009 at approximately 12:04 pm.

The two subjects entered the bank and approached the teller counter. One of the subjects presented a black semi-automatic pistol and demanded cash. After obtaining cash, the subjects fled on foot on 2nd Street towards Brown Street.

The subject who displayed the handgun is described as a black male, dark complexion, 5’9” to 5’10” tall, thin build, wearing a dark sweater or sweatshirt and a dark cap. The second subject is described as a black male in his late 20’s, dark complexion, 5’7” to 5’9” tall, husky build, with a round face and a beard, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a white and black checkered scarf around his neck.

The subjects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department.
