Lincoln Man Charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine

On October 23, 2014, an Indictment was unsealed charging Miguel Angel Alvarez, 46, of Lincoln, with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing methamphetamine between January of 2013 and April of 2014. The possible penalty for this charge is 10 years to life imprisonment and a fine of up to $10,000.00.

Alvarez had his first appearance in federal court on October 28, 2014. He was ordered held without bond pending a further hearing on October 30, 2014. Trial is scheduled to begin on December 29, 2014.
