Lincoln Man Sentenced for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that on July 31, 2013, Marcus Antonio Navejar, 32, was sentenced to 12 years and seven months (151 months) in prison for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine between January 2010 and October 2011. Following the prison term, Navejar will serve five years on supervised release.
Information provided to law enforcement indicated that during that time, Navejar was responsible for the distribution of at least 1.5 kilograms (approximately three pounds) of a substance containing methamphetamine in the Lincoln area. Navejar was found in possession of a small amount of that drug in November 2010, and in April 2011, Navejar sold a small amount of methamphetamine to a confidential informant working with the Lincoln Police Department.
The matter was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, which includes officers of the Lincoln Police Department, the Lancaster County Sheriff's Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department.
