Lincoln Woman Sentenced for Distributing Methamphetamine

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Angie Marie Ruyle, 29, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced on January 19, 2012, to 87 months in prison by United States District Judge Richard G. Kopf, for conspiring to deliver methamphetamine in Lincoln, Nebraska, from approximately January of 2008 to May 20, 2011. In addition to her prison term, Ruyle will serve five years of supervised release following her release from prison.

Ruyle pled guilty in September of 2011 to conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. During the course of the conspiracy, Ruyle bought and sold methamphetamine in amounts that ranged from several grams to an ounce at a time and totaled over one and one-half kilograms.

This case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force which includes the Lincoln Police Department; Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department; University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department; the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
