North Carolina Man Sentenced for Crack Distribution

United States Attorney Deborah Gilg and the Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI announce the following information for the attention of the media:
Event Triggering this Release: The Honorable Richard G. Kopf sentenced Daniel L. Robinson to 10 years in prison for conspiring to distribute crack cocaine in eastern Nebraska. In addition to the prison sentence, Robinson was ordered to complete five years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
Robinson was indicted after several witnesses provided information that he was selling crack in amounts that ranged from less than a gram up to a quarter ounce at a time. As part of the investigation, an undercover officer, working with a confidential informant, made three purchases of crack from Robinson in January of 2007. The total amount of crack that Robinson was involved with was identified at over 300 grams. After the sentence was announced, two additional counts of possession of crack with intent to distribute were dismissed.
