Hastings Resident Sentenced to 14 Years for Meth Distribution

Stecher and the Tri City Drug Task Force, Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Island Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Hall County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation announce the following information for the attention of the media:
Event Triggering this Release: The Honorable Warren K. Urbom, United States District Judge in Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 7, 2009, sentenced Jose Luis Rodriguez to 14 years in federal prison following his conviction for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Rodriguez was found to have distributed about 8 pounds of methamphetamine in 2007 in Hastings, Nebraska. He was also found guilty of having possessed a firearm in connection with the conspiracy. Rodriguez was also sentenced to a 5 year term of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.
