Bank of the West Robbery and Arrest

James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announced the robbery of the Bank of the West at 1201 S. Air Depot in Midwest City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 1:36 p.m. on September 15, the Bank of the West was robbed by two black males armed with a shotgun and a handgun in a takeover-style robbery. The subjects left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen getting into a red 2002 Chevy Trailblazer that was being driven by a third black male subject.

Shortly after the robbers left the bank, Midwest City Police officers located the getaway vehicle and after a short pursuit, three black males exited the vehicle. The three arrested subjects were identified as follows:

  • 22-year-old Michael Deshun Stile 
  • 33-year-old Curt Gatewood 
  • 30-year-old Brandon Bruner

This robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Midwest City Police Department. No one was injured in todays robbery. The public is reminded a charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
