OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI, Oklahoma City Division, announces the issuance of an arrest warrant for Richard Charles Lockhart, 45 years of age, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lockhart is wanted by the FBI and Midwest City Police Department for the robbery of the Bank of Oklahoma in Midwest City, Oklahoma on January 5, 2012.

At approximately 12:21 p.m. yesterday, an unknown male entered the bank, presented a note, and demanded money. The note stated “Give me the money in the drawer. I have a bomb.” The teller complied with the robber’s demand. The robber took the money and was last seen leaving the bank through the west side exit doors.

Law enforcement received numerous tips from the public identifying Lockhart as the bank robber after the story aired on the news. FBI agents and detectives from Midwest City Police Department followed up on those tips and presented an affidavit for Lockhart’s arrest to a federal judge. The affidavit was signed today and Lockhart is now wanted for yesterday’s bank robbery.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Lockhart should contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24 hour number). You may remain anonymous.
