Two Oklahoma City Men Sentenced to Serve 151 Months in Federal Prison for Bank Robbery

OKLAHOMA CITY—Today, TERRY LEE KINNEY, 58, and EDMOND J. ITSON, 52, both of Oklahoma City, were each sentenced by Chief United States District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange to serve 151 months in federal prison for bank robbery, announced Sanford C. Coats, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma. Kinney and Itson were indicted in June of last year for the following four counts of bank robbery or attempted robbery:

• Count 1: May 6, 2011, robbery of the Bank of Oklahoma, located at 4324 SE 44th Street, Del City, Oklahoma
• Count 2: May 11, 2011, robbery of the Coppermark Bank, located at 6809 North Meridian, Oklahoma City
• Count 3: May 23, 2011, robbery of the Midfirst Bank, located at 810 Southwest 44th Street, Oklahoma City
• Count 4: June 2, 2011, attempted robbery of the Bank of the West, located at 1600 Southwest 89th Street, Oklahoma City

On August 9, 2011, Kinney and Itson both pled guilty to Count 3. At the sentencing hearing today, Chief Judge Miles-LaGrange took into consideration the other bank robberies in ordering Kinney and Itson to pay $16,097.90 in restitution to the banks.

This case was the result of an investigation conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Oklahoma City Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lee Borden.
