Robbery of Interbank Branch in Elk City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Oklahoma City Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, announces the robbery of the Interbank branch located at 1620 W. 3rd Street in Elk City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 2:50 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, an unknown male entered the bank and approached the teller’s counter. The subject provided a note demanding the teller give him all her 100s and 50s. The teller complied with the subject’s demand. The subject took the money and departed the bank in an unknown vehicle. No weapon was displayed, and no one was injured in today’s robbery.

Surveillance photos (below) and witness descriptions depict the subject as a white male, approximately 5’8” in height, medium build, wearing a black short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball-type cap with sunglasses on his head. The subject is believed to be in his mid-late 20s and had a slight growth of beard.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Elk City Police Department.
