Robbery of MidFirst Bank Branch in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of the MidFirst Bank, 810 S.W. 44th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 10:15 this morning, two unknown white or Hispanic males entered the bank and demanded money. One of the robbers vaulted the counter and verbally demanded $100s while holding a firearm. The other robber stood in the lobby area of the bank holding another firearm. The bank employees complied with the robbers’ demand. The robbers gathered an undetermined amount of money and left the bank. Witnesses observed the robbers enter a black pickup truck and flee the area. No one was injured in today’s robbery.

The robber that vaulted the counter was described as a white or Hispanic male approximately 5’8” to 6’0” in height. He was wearing a long sleeve, faded black crewneck sweatshirt and blue jeans. He had a tan baseball-style cap and black pantyhose over his face. He was carrying a firearm. The robber in the lobby was described as a white or Hispanic male approximately 5’6” to 5’8” in height. He was wearing a long sleeve, gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. He also was carrying a firearm and had black pantyhose over his head. Both firearms were black in color.

The robbery is being investigated by the FBI and the Oklahoma City Police Department.

At this time, law enforcement believes these individuals are also responsible for the robberies at Bank of Oklahoma at 4324 S.E. 44th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 6, 2011, and Coppermark Bank at 6809 N. Meridian Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on May 11, 2011.
