OKLAHOMA CITY—James E. Finch, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Oklahoma, announced the robbery of the Bank of Oklahoma, 6517 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

At approximately 2:05 this afternoon, a white male entered the bank, pointed a pistol at the bank employees and customers inside the bank, and ordered everyone to the floor. The robber then ordered the tellers to open their drawers. He told the tellers no dye packs or bait bills. The tellers removed an unknown amount of U.S. currency and put it in a black bag. The tellers described the bag as plastic or backpack style bag. As the robber was leaving the bank, he told the individuals on the floor not to get up or follow him or he would shoot them. The robber left the bank with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. Witnesses saw a silver or gray Volkswagen Jetta leave the bank area and was last seen traveling west on Northwest Expressway. No one was injured in today’s robbery. Law enforcement believe this individual may also be responsible for the robberies of the First National Bank of Coweta in Coweta, Oklahoma on May 24, 2011 and Bank of Oklahoma on May 26, 2011 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The robber was described as white male, approximately 5’11” in height, and weighing 180 to 185 pounds. The robber wore a black-colored trench coat, large brim black hat, sunglasses, and a fake beard and mustache. The pistol was a semi-automatic and black in color.
