Robbery of City National Bank

Below are two surveillance photographs taken from this evening’s robbery of City National Bank, located inside Wal-Mart, 9011 NE 23rd Street, Midwest City, Oklahoma.

For information, today at approximately 5:05 p.m., an unidentified black male entered Wal-Mart, waited for other customers to complete their transactions at City National Bank, and approached a teller at that bank. The robber demanded money and had the bank employee put the money into an envelope. He acted as if he was talking on a cellular telephone during the robbery. He exited Wal-Mart on foot and ran southwest in the parking lot towards Douglas Blvd. No one was injured.

The robber was described as a dark complected black male, 5’10” to 5’11” tall, dreadlocks, strong build, 210 lbs., in his late 20’s or early 30’s, wearing a multi-colored Rasta knit hat, black shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. He had a few days growth of facial hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI at (405) 290-7770 (24 hour number).

A reward of up to $2000 is being offered by the Oklahoma Bankers Association for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the individidual(s) responsible for robbing a member bank.

The investigation is being conducted by the FBI and Midwest City Police Department. Midwest City Police Department conducted a forensic examination of the crime scene.
