FBI, NYPD Seek Armed Bank Robbers Who Stormed Vault
On December 4, 2014, at 9:40 a.m., two male subjects entered Chase Bank at 56-21 Marathon Parkway in Little Neck, New York. Both subjects were dressed in dark clothing with cloth masks across their faces.
The taller subject (Subject #1) carried a black bag and handgun. The shorter subject (Subject #2) first approached the personal banking area and ordered the banker and customer to move to the seats in the bank’s lobby. The banker and customer complied with the demands, and Subject #1 lowered himself to the ground nearby.
Subject #2 ordered the manager to open the door to the teller area. Once inside the teller area, Subject #2 removed currency from one of the teller drawers and then instructed the manager to open the bank’s vault. Once inside the cash vault, Subject #2 took a significant amount of cash from the vault. Subject #2 put all the stolen money inside the black bag, and both subjects fled the bank, heading southbound on Marathon Parkway.
