FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance in Locating Snub-Nosed Bandit After Sixth Armed Robbery

The FBI is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the Snub-Nosed Bandit, who is wanted in connection with six armed robberies, the latest occurring today, March 2, 2012. This morning, at approximately 11:10, the Snub-Nosed Bandit entered an Apple Bank located at 414 Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. He approached the counter, pushed a customer aside, pulled out a silver revolver, and demanded cash. He fled in a vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male, approximately 35 years old, roughly 5’5’’ to 5’7’’ tall, and 150 to 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing glasses and carrying a silver revolver.

The FBI believes he may have utilized livery vehicles to transport himself to and from previous bank robberies. The Snub-Nosed Bandit should be considered armed and dangerous.

  • Dunkin Donuts located at 356 McGuiness Blvd., Brooklyn on September 25, 2011. Shots fired.
  • Capital One Bank at 185 Broadway, Brooklyn on October 18, 2011.
  • HSBC Bank located at 22-15 43rd Avenue, Queens on December 7, 2011. Shots fired.
  • Sovereign Bank located at 75-15 31st Avenue, Jackson Heights on January 6, 2012.
  • Chase Bank located at 205-19 Hillside Avenue, Queens on January 28, 2012

A significant reward is available for a tip that breaks the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI immediately at 212-384-1000. As always, tipsters may remain anonymous.
