FBI Asks for Assistance in Identifying the "Gold Scarf Bandit"

On Thursday, December 16, 2010, a Queens County Savings Bank at 2136 Bartow Avenue, Bronx, New York, was robbed by an armed gunwoman. The woman displayed a handgun and demanded money from the teller.
The “Gold Scarf Bandit" is described as a black female, 5'2" tall, and approximately 30 years old. She was seen wearing a white hat, gold scarf, black jacket, and black gloves. She was also observed pushing a shopping cart at the time of the robbery.
“These hold-ups are senseless and everyone should take a close look at this woman’s photo so we can bring her to justice. The FBI is offering a cash reward for anyone who can provide information that will lead to an arrest,” said Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Violent Crime Belle Chen.
Information can be submitted anonymously and anyone knowing the identity of this individual is encouraged to call the FBI at 212-384-1000.
The robbery is being investigated by the Joint Bank Robbery Task Force, which is composed of FBI agents and NYPD detectives. Operating since 1979, it is the longest continually operating task force in the history of the FBI and investigates major violent crime.
