On July 13, 2010, FBI New York Division Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Gerald Rose, SAC Gregory Fowler and SAC James C. Trainor, Jr. briefed Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg about the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) in New York, changes in how expansive and responsive al Qaeda cells are since 9/11, and how essential joint efforts are in addressing the terror group’s recent less sophisticated attacks.

The recent Norwegian terrorist plot and related plots in England and New York demonstrate the constant need to work as partners against terrorism. SAC Trainor said, “It is a continuous goal of the JTTF to prevent and disrupt terrorist activity and to investigate acts of terrorism. Proactive collaboration is absolutely necessary to quickly identify emerging threats and mobilize resources around the world to disrupt terrorist activities.”
