FBI Announces Addition of Robert William Fisher, an Alleged Triple Murderer, to Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List

The Federal Bureau of Investigation today announced the addition of Robert William Fisher, an alleged triple murderer, to its “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list. Fisher is being sought for his alleged involvement in the brutal death of his family in Arizona. He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.
On the morning of April 10, 2001, a Scottsdale, Arizona home exploded and was engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, the bodies of a woman and two young children were discovered inside the burned residence. An accelerant had
been poured over the victims’ bodies, their throats had been slit, and the adult victim had also been shot. It is alleged that Robert William Fisher, the husband and father of the victims, murdered his family and then caused the fire.
On July 19, 2001, a state arrest warrant was issued in the Superior Court of the State of Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona, charging Fisher with three counts of first degree murder and one count of arson of an occupied structure. Fisher was subsequently charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution in a federal arrest warrant issued by the United States District Court, District of Arizona, Phoenix, Arizona.
Fisher is described as a White male, 6’0”, 190 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair. He was born on April 13, 1961, in Brooklyn, New York. He has a noticeable gold crown on his upper left first bicuspid tooth. Fisher may walk with an exaggerated erect posture and his chest pushed out due to a lower back injury. He has surgical scars on his lower back.
Fisher has worked as a surgical catheter technician, a respiratory therapist, and a fireman. He is physically fit and is an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman. He is known to chew tobacco heavily. Fisher has ties to New Mexico and Florida. He is believed to be in possession of several weapons including a high-powered rifle.
Robert William Fisher is the 475th person to be placed on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” list, which was established in 1950. Since then, 445 fugitives have been apprehended or located, 145 of them as a result of citizen cooperation.
A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for any information leading directly to the arrest of Robert William Fisher. Individuals with information concerning Fisher should take no action themselves, but instead immediately contact the nearest office of the FBI or local law enforcement agency.
