Jill Sanborn Named Special Agent in Charge of the Minneapolis Division

FBI Director Christopher Wray announced the appointment of Jill Sanborn as the special agent in charge of the Minneapolis Division. Ms. Sanborn most recently served as the section chief of the International Operations Section II, in the Counterterrorism Division, overseeing all overseas counterterrorism investigations.

Ms. Sanborn entered on duty as a special agent with the FBI in 1998, and was first assigned to the Phoenix Division, where she worked bank fraud and computer intrusions. In 2001, Ms. Sanborn was assigned to the Joint Terrorism Task Force, and in 2006, was selected for the Counterterrorism Division’s Fly Team.

Throughout her career, Ms. Sanborn has held leadership positions in the Counterterrorism Division, as a detailee to the Central Intelligence Agency, in the Washington Field Office, and in the Los Angeles Field Office.

Ms. Sanborn will report to Minneapolis in April.
