Gerald Roberts, Jr. Named Assistant Director of the Security Division

FBI Director Christopher Wray announced the appointment of Gerald Roberts, Jr. as the Assistant Director of the Security Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Mr. Roberts most recently served as Deputy Assistant Director of the Security Division.

Mr. Roberts entered on duty as a special agent with the FBI in 1999. He was first assigned to the New York Field Office, where he worked as a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force and investigated international terrorism matters.

Throughout his career, Mr. Roberts has held leadership positions in the International Operations Division, Counterterrorism Division, the Baltimore Division, and the Washington Field Office. Mr. Roberts has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout his career, including the FBI Director’s Award and the Office of the Secretary of Defense Award for Excellence.

Mr. Roberts will assume this new role immediately.
