  1. Washington Field: Virginia Man Sentenced for Plot to Carry Out Suicide Bomb Attack on U.S. Capitol

    Amine Mohamed El-Khalifi was sentenced to 30 years for what he intended to be a terrorist operation. Full Story

    Michael Steven Cech admitted to distributing information relating to explosives with the intent that it be used for a crime of violence. Full Story

  3. Newark: Trenton Mayor, Brother, and Associate Charged with Conspiracy to Extort Bribes
     

    Mayor Tony F. Mack; his brother, Ralphiel Mack; and his close associate, Joseph A. “JoJo” Giorgianni, were arrested in connection with a scheme to extort others who were purportedly developing a public parking garage. Full Story

    Steven Beumel admitted that he stole syringes of Fentanyl during patients’ procedures and replaced them with syringes of saline contaminated with Hepatitis C. Full Story

    Anthony Fazio, Sr., Anthony Fazio, Jr., and John Fazio, Jr., were sentenced to 151 months, five years, and 135 months in prison, respectively, in connection with racketeering, extortion, money laundering, and witness tampering charges. Full Story
