FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, III, Announces the Appointment of Veronica Venture as the New Equal Employment Opportunity Officer

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, III, today announced the appointment of Veronica Venture as the new Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer in the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity Affairs (OEEOA).

As the EEO Officer Ms. Venture serves as Advisor to the Director on EEO matters and is the EEO subject matter expert. Ms. Venture oversees both the Complaint Processing Unit (CPU) and the Special Programs Unit (SPU), which together are responsible for training office personnel, reviewing administrative and operational systems and procedures, the oversight of FBI policies and procedures, processing EEO complaints and the training of EEO Investigators and Counselors.

Ms. Venture received her Bachelor’s Degree from Connecticut College in 1986 and then her Juris Doctorate from The Washington College of Law, American University in 1990. She has held various positions with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to include Attorney Advisor (Special Assistant), Office of the Chairwoman; Supervisory Enforcement Manager; Alternative Dispute Resolution Coordinator and Administrative Judge. Most recently Ms. Venture served as Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
