Jay S. Tabb, Jr. Named Special Agent in Charge of Seattle Division

FBI Director James B. Comey has named Jay S. Tabb, Jr. as the special agent in charge of the Seattle Division. Mr. Tabb most recently served as deputy assistant director of Operations Branch 1 in the Counterterrorism Division at FBI Headquarters.

Mr. Tabb joined the FBI in 1997 and was first assigned to the Dallas Division, where he worked counterterrorism, violent crime, and drug trafficking matters. Mr. Tabb has held leadership positions within the Washington Field Office, the Critical Incident Response Group, and the Counterterrorism Division.

Mr. Tabb has been awarded the FBI Medal of Valor, two FBI Stars, the United States Attorney General’s Award for Exceptional Service, and the Exceptional Service Medal from the Director of National Intelligence.

Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Tabb served for more than seven years as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Tabb will assume this new role in September.
