FBI Deputy Director Delivers Keynote Address at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Conference

This weekend, FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate delivered the keynote address and participated in a panel discussion at the 46th annual training conference of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) in Orlando, Florida. The theme of this year’s conference was “Driving Change: Redefining Law Enforcement and Public Safety Across America.”

In his remarks, Deputy Director Abbate addressed some of the biggest threats facing the country, including active shooter incidents and domestic violent extremism, and also emphasized the invaluable benefits of the FBI’s partnerships.

"The threats we address on behalf of our country, we face head on, in partnership with many organizations, mental health service providers, and government and law enforcement agencies,” said Deputy Director Abbate. “And it’s those partnerships and our public interactions that help prevent the worst things from happening."

The Deputy Director’s keynote address was followed by a panel discussion titled “Addressing a Challenging Year of Crime and Violence II” where participants discussed the causes and solutions of the rise violent crime in 2020 and 2021.
