Charles Spencer Named Special Agent in Charge of the Jacksonville Division

FBI Director James B. Comey has named Charles Spencer as the special agent in charge of the Jacksonville Division. Mr. Spencer most recently served as the deputy assistant director of the Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate.

Mr. Spencer entered on duty with the FBI in 1998 and was first assigned to the Washington Field Office, where he worked on the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Throughout his career, Mr. Spencer has held leadership positions in the Training Division, the Oklahoma City Division, and the New Orleans Division. Mr. Spencer is a recipient of the FBI’s Shield of Bravery.

Mr. Spencer will assume this new role in mid-September.
