Alphonso 'Jody' Norris Named Special Agent in Charge of the Columbia Division

FBI Director James B. Comey has named Alphonso "Jody” Norris as the special agent in charge of the Columbia Division. Mr. Norris most recently served as the section chief of the executive development and selection program in the Human Resources Division at FBI Headquarters.

Mr. Norris entered on duty with the FBI in 1990. He was first assigned to the Houston Division, where he investigated public corruption, large-scale bank failures, health care fraud, and civil rights matters.

Throughout his career, Mr. Norris has held leadership positions in the Criminal Investigative Division, Tampa Division, Human Resources Division, and Charlotte Division. Mr. Norris also served as the FBI’s program director of the Domestic Security Alliance Council, which is the FBI’s main liaison arm to the private sector. Mr. Norris will assume this new role at the end of October.
