FBI Director Christopher Wray has named M.A. “Mo” Myers as special agent in charge of the Memphis Field Office. Mr. Myers most recently served as a section chief in the Training Division at FBI Headquarters.

Mr. Myers entered on duty with the FBI in 1996 and was first assigned to the Miami Field Office, primarily working counterintelligence matters. Mr. Myers served on FBI Miami’s SWAT team from 1999 to 2004.

In 2004, Mr. Myers was selected for a specialty transfer to the Richmond Field Office after conducting numerous complex counterintelligence operations involving sophisticated investigative techniques as well as several successful extraterritorial operations with the FBI’s intelligence community partners.

Three years later, Mr. Myers was promoted to supervisory special agent over the Richmond Field Office’s Field Intelligence Group. In 2010, Mr. Myers returned to the counterintelligence squad, where he served until his promotion to a unit chief position in the FBI’s National Security Branch at FBI Headquarters in 2011.

Mr. Myers was then promoted to assistant special agent in charge for the Oklahoma City Field Office, where he was responsible for the intelligence/support services branch.

In 2016, Mr. Myers was selected as chief of the Instruction Section in the Training Division, which is responsible for all instruction given to new special agents and intelligence analysts through the Basic Field Training Course as well as the instruction provided to new staff operations specialists and National Academy participants. 

Mr. Myers received a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master's degree from Norwich University. Prior to joining the FBI, Mr. Myers was a state probation/parole agent in Columbia, South Carolina.
