Acting Director Andrew McCabe announced the arrival of Eric W. Sporre as special agent in charge of the FBI's Tampa Division. Mr. Sporre most recently served as deputy assistant director of the Cyber Operations Branch in the Cyber Division at FBI Headquarters.

Mr. Sporre entered on duty as a special agent with the FBI in 1998 and was first assigned to the Miami Division, where he investigated a variety of complex white-collar crime matters.

Throughout his career, Mr. Sporre has held leadership positions in the Cyber Division, the Washington Field Office, the Atlanta Division, and as an assistant legal attaché in London, England.

Mr. Sporre reported to the Tampa Division in his new role on July 16, 2017.
