Mollie Halpern: An up to $1 million reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the terrorist bombing that left a husband and father dead.

Alexander Odeh was killed when a bomb detonated as he opened the door to his office at the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee in Santa Ana, California in 1985.

The assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles Division, David Bowdich, says a series of bombings in New York, New Jersey, and Boston took place in the months prior to the one that murdered Odeh.

David Bowdich: You have this series of bombings. So, we’re looking at, are there similarities between the bombings?

Halpern: Members of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force are pursuing new leads in this case, which they have tenaciously investigated for three decades.

David Bowdich: When you have a group of people that are setting off bombs on U.S. soil, right here in the middle of Orange County or anywhere else in the U.S.A., that’s not something we can ever take lightly. And we and have to continue a dogged pursuit to try and solve this case, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.
