Mollie Halpern: The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information about the identity of a man wanted for at least 35 sexual assaults in the Los Angeles, California area. Oliver Farache: It’s somebody who has given no indication of a desire to stop. He’s going to keep doing this until we stop him. Halpern: I’m Mollie Halpern of the Bureau, and this is Wanted by the FBI. The unidentified man is linked to a series of attacks through DNA analysis. The attacks have taken place from 1996 through 2012. Special Agent Olivier Farache says the man attacks his victims in the morning, engages them in conversation, and then… Farache: He displays a weapon and then makes his demand for the victim to follow him. Halpern: He has been called the Teardrop Rapist because witnesses say he has one or two teardrop tattoos underneath one of his eyes. The tattoos may have been removed or covered up. Farache: If somebody has information, it’s crucially important for them to report it to avoid him attacking even one more person. Halpern: For sketches, visit FBI.gov. Report tips to your local FBI field office.
