Reward Increased for Fugitive Kevin Lamont Carter

An up to $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading directly to the arrest of a man wanted for killing his girlfriend who was also the mother of his child.

Mollie Halpern: An up to $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading directly to the arrest of a man wanted for killing his girlfriend who was also the mother of his child.

FBI case Agent Christian McDowell…

McDowell: Kevin Carter is a bad guy, not only is he wanted for the murder of Angela Marshall but he has a history of rape.

Halpern: While Kevin Carter was behind bars for rape, investigators say he mailed letters to Angela threatening to kill her for dating other men and cashing checks in his name. The day Carter was released from jail, March 25, 1995, he headed to Angela’s home in Selma, Alabama.

McDowell: Kevin Carter called her out by name, as Angela Marshall approached Kevin Carter’s vehicle he shot her several times. After killing her, he fled the scene.

Halpern: The couple’s daughter was just a year-and-a-half old at the time. She is believed to be living in Alabama.

Carter has ties to Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. He may hiding in Alabama. Carter has a pierced ear and has used the aliases Alvin, Little Bit, and Hawk Dawg.

McDowell: If somebody does know where Kevin Carter is, do the right thing, please come forward, please help us. Type of information we’re looking for: Kevin Carter’s current whereabouts, information on anybody who may be harboring him, any information on a current physical description of Kevin Carter, what he looks like today, maybe an alias that Kevin Carter has assumed since being on the run.
