Remembering ‘Deke’ DeLoach

Special Agent Cartha “Deke” DeLoach, a trusted adviser to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover who oversaw the investigation into the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and served as the Bureau’s liaison to President Lyndon B. Johnson after John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, died Wednesday evening in South Carolina. He was 92. Above, DeLoach (center) joins FBI Director J.
