Michael Anderson, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the New Orleans Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), today announced Jonathan Motten, aka Ready Red, was taken into custody without incident by FBI New Orleans SWAT after executing a warrant at his residence in New Orleans East. Motten was turned over to New Orleans Violent Crime Task Force personnel and transported to Orleans Parish Prison. The task force is composed of FBI, New Orleans Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Office, and Kenner Police Department.

Motten was arrested for being a felon with a firearm. In execution of a search warrant, a quantity of narcotics, cash, and a loaded firearm were seized.

The public is reminded that warrants contain only allegations of criminal misconduct and that defendants are presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
