New Orleans Man Indicted for Bank Robbery

LIONEL BREAUX, age 34, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was charged today in a one-count indictment by a Federal Grand Jury with robbing the Capital One Bank located in the 7000 block of Canal Boulevard on October 19, 2009, announced U.S. Attorney Jim Letten.

BERRY faces a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty (20) years, a fine of $250,000 and three (3) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.

U.S. Attorney Letten reiterated that the indictment is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

The case is being investigated jointly by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant United States Elizabeth Privitera.
