FBI Seeks Public’s Assistance in Identifying Serial Bank Robber

NEWARK—The FBI’s Newark Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individual believed to be responsible for robbing seven banks in New Jersey since November 2012. In several of the robberies, the individual approached the teller, presented a black handgun, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. He wore a black baseball cap during each robbery. On two occasions the individual only displayed a demand note. In all bank robberies, the subject is described as follows:

Tuesday, November 20, 2012—At approximately 3:33 p.m., the Wells Fargo Bank located at 550 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a black baseball cap and a black jacket.
Thursday, January, 10, 2013—At approximately 2:03 p.m., the Investors Savings Bank located at 946 Amboy Avenue, Edison, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a black baseball cap and a dark colored coat and displayed a black handgun.
Friday, May 3, 2013—At approximately 3:00 p.m. the Investors Savings Bank located at 56 Westfield Avenue, Clark, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a black baseball cap, black V-neck sweater, and blue jeans. He was clean-shaven and displayed a black handgun.
Thursday, May 30, 2013—At approximately 12:41 p.m., the Garden State Community Bank located at 1162 Green Street, Iselin, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a black baseball cap and a long-sleeved black shirt and displayed a black handgun.
Thursday, June 06, 2013—At approximately 1:34 p.m., the JP Morgan Chase Bank, located 60 Stirling Road, Watchung, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a black baseball cap and a black V-neck shirt and displayed a black handgun.
Tuesday, July 30, 2013—At approximately 11:10 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank, 550 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a blue baseball cap, long-sleeved blue shirt, blue jeans and black shoes and was clean shaven.
Saturday, August 10, 2013—At approximately 1:35 p.m., the Garden State Community Bank, located at 310 North Avenue, Cranford, New Jersey, was robbed. The subject wore a black baseball cap, a blue button-down shirt, and blue jeans. He was clean shaven and displayed a black handgun.
