Robbery of Chase Bank Branch in Fairlawn

On October 18, 2012, just before 6:00 p.m., the Chase Bank located at 21-10 Saddle River Road in Fairlawn, New Jersey, was robbed by a black male, thin to medium build, approximately 5’7” tall, with a thin goatee and mustache.

The subject, who was carrying a claw hammer, entered the branch, grabbed one bank employee, and then orderered another employee to fill an envelope with cash. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash in an unknown direction.

The subject was wearing a tan hat, burgundy sweater, and khaki colored pants.

Anyone with information about this or any other bank robbery is urged to contact the FBI at 973-792-3000.

Citizens are reminded they should never attempt to apprehend a fugitive; in an emergency call 911.
