Lee County Woman Sentenced to 63 Months Federal Prison Time for Bank Robbery

MONTGOMERY, AL—Sandra Robinson, 39, of Waverly, Alabama, was sentenced to 63 months in federal prison for bank robbery, U.S. Attorney Leura G. Canary announced today. Robinson was also sentenced to three (3) years’ supervised release upon completing her prison time.

Robinson had previously pled guilty to knowingly and willfully taking by intimidation money belonging to the care, custody, control, management, or possession of Auburn Bank, a federally insured bank. The incident occurred on March 11, 2009.

This case was investigated through the joint efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigations and the Auburn Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney W. Brent Woodall.
