The FBI is Seeking Information Leading to the Arrest of Linn Jacob Cross Dog, III

The FBI is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Linn Jacob Cross Dog, III. Cross Dog is wanted in connection with a May 11, 2016 assault against a tribal police officer on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.

Cross Dog fled on foot after he shot and injured a tribal police officer. He remains at large. Cross Dog has ties to Rapid City, South Dakota; Pine Ridge Indian Reservation; and the Rosebud Indian Reservation. Cross Dog has a criminal history of assault with a deadly weapon and drug offenses. The FBI together with Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services and United States Marshals Service are searching for Cross Dog, who is considered armed and dangerous.

Cross Dog is described as follows:

  • Height: 5’7”
  • Weight: 140 lbs.
  • Hair: Black
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Age: 22
  • Marks/tattoos: Tattoo of star on left forehead area, Tattoo of “A” on left neck area
