Wagner Woman Sentenced to 151 Months for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a Wagner, South Dakota, man convicted of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine was sentenced on July 28, 2014, by Judge Karen E. Schreier.

Brandy Angela Waetermans, age 31, was sentenced to 151 months in custody, three years’ supervised release, and a $100 special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund.

Waetermans was indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine by a federal grand jury on December 3, 2013. She pled guilty to the offense on April 29, 2014.

Waetermans was involved in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine on the Yankton Sioux Reservation.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Charles Mix County Sheriff’s Office. Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer D. Mammenga prosecuted the case.
