St. Francis Woman Charged with Access Device Fraud and Larceny

United States Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a St. Francis, South Dakota woman has been indicted by a federal grand jury for access device fraud and larceny.
Mary Jo Flammond, age 32, was indicted by a federal grand jury on November 15, 2012. She appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on November 28, 2012, and pled not guilty to the indictment. The maximum penalty upon conviction is 15 years in custody, a $250,000 fine, or both.
The charges are merely accusations, and Flammond is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Rosebud Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Services. Assistant United States Attorney Tim Maher is prosecuting the case.
Flammond was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshals Service pending trial. A trial date has not been set.
