Jury Finds Red Shirt Man Guilty of Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a man was found guilty by a jury in US District Court on December 17, 2009, for Two Counts of Abusive Sexual Contact. Charles Little Bear, a/k/a Dale Little Bear, age 43, of Red Shirt, was indicted for Aggravated Sexual Abuse and Abusive Sexual Contact by a federal grand jury. The case went to trial on December 15, 2009, and the jury found Little Bear guilty of Two Counts of Abusive Sexual Contact after he engaged in sexual acts with a girl over the age of 12 years, but under the age of 16 years. This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mara M. Kohn prosecuted and tried the case before the jury. Little Bear was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal. A sentencing date has not yet been set.
