Pine Ridge Woman Sentenced to Probation for Cocaine Conspiracy

U.S. Attorney Brendan V. Johnson announced that a woman charged with Possession of Cocaine was sentenced on December 14, 2009, by Chief U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier. Nicolette Weston, a/k/a Nikki Weston, age 28, of Pine Ridge, was sentenced to two years' probation and ordered to pay $25 to the Victim Assistance Fund. Weston was indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana by a federal grand jury on November 19, 2008. She pled guilty to a Superseding Information on September 16, 2009, for Possession of Cocaine. Weston and others distributed drugs on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation from 2002 through June of 2008. This case was investigated by the FBI, ATF, and BIA. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mara M. Kohn prosecuted the case.
