FBI Offers Rewards for Two Serial Bank Robbers

The FBI’s Minneapolis Field Office and the Minnesota Banker’s Association have teamed to offer a reward of up to $5000 each, for the arrest and conviction of two Twin Cities area bank robbers who have struck repeatedly recently.

The first robber is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5’10” - 6’0” tall with a slender to medium build. He has been known to wear a baseball cap with dark sunglasses placed on top of the hat and to cover his face with a white or black bandana. He is believed responsible for an attempted robbery at the Cherokee Bank in St. Paul on October 20, as well as robberies at the MidCountry Bank in Inver Grove Heights on September 25, the Central Bank in South St. Paul on September 30, The Wells Fargo Bank in Minneapolis on October 6, the Bank of America in Hudson, Wisconsin on October 9, and the First State Bank of Rosemount on October 21.

The second robber is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 6’2”tall and 200 - 250 pounds. He has worn a yellow or orange road construction vest, clear construction-type goggles over his eyes, and tan work gloves. He is believed responsible for robberies at the Building Trades Credit Union in Inver Grove Heights on October 8 and the US Bank in Burnsville on August 20.
