Insurance Fraud Investigation in Wausau, Wisconsin

On June 7, 2010, the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Wisconsin issued a federal search warrant to search the offices of J.N. Manson Agency, Inc., doing business as Manson Insurance at 327 North 17th Avenue, Wausau, Wisconsin. The warrant was executed by FBI agents on June 10, 2010. The FBI is investigating federal violations of insurance embezzlement, mail fraud, and bank fraud, all violations of Title 18, United States Code sections 1033, 1341, and 1344.

Multiple victims have been identified and will be contacted via letter from the FBI’s victim specialist at the FBI resident agency office located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Persons who feel they might be a potential victim in the Manson Insurance Agency case are directed to contact the FBI victim specialist at 920-432-3868, between the hours of 8:15 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

It is advised by the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Wisconsin, that the search warrant and affidavit in this matter was unsealed on Friday, January 7, 2010 and made available to the public.
