Robbery of Jetstream Federal Credit Union Branch in Mercy Hospital in Miami

FBI Miami April 11, 2013
  • Special Agent Michael D. Leverock (754) 703-2000

The FBI is releasing photographs from a robbery that took place April 11, 2013, at approximately 7:10 a.m. at the Jetstream Federal Credit Union branch located on the second floor of Mercy Hospital at 3663 S. Miami Ave. in Miami, Florida.

Two robbers entered the credit union wearing hospital-like scrubs and demanded money from an employee. Money was taken, but the amount will not be released at this time.

Three credit union employees were kicked, sprayed with an aerosol irritant, and threatened with a firearm. All were treated for injuries at the hospital and have since been released from the hospital.

It appears that there were three individuals involved in the robbery, all wearing hospital-like scrubs. A possible car used in the getaway may be an older model, faded green four-door Buick with tinted windows.

If anyone has information as to the identity of these robbers, they are urged to call the FBI at (305) 944-9101 or Crimestoppers.
