FBI Miami Announces the Arrests of Two Robbery Suspects

The FBI announces the arrest of Cedric C. Williams, 33, of Miami Gardens, Florida, and Burnett Malik Godbee, 32, of Miami, Florida, for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery this morning, June 17, 2013, at the Winn-Dixie Supermarket located at 701 NW 99th Avenue in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Godbee was taken into custody in Pembroke Pines, Florida, without incident by the Pembroke Pines Police Department, and Williams was taken into custody in Miramar, Florida, by the Miramar Police Department following a car accident.

Williams and Godbee are in federal custody and are facing pending federal charges. It is anticipated that their initial appearance will be tomorrow (June 18, 2013) in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The FBI, Pembroke Pines Police Department, Miramar Police Department, Miami Gardens Police Department, and the South Florida Violent Crime Task Force continue their investigation.

The FBI and its South Florida Violent Crime Task Force are involved in this matter as part of an initiative to assist local law enforcement agencies combat violent armed robberies.

No further information will be released at this time.
