South Florida Fugitive Arrested in Alabama

MIAMI—John V. Gillies, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Miami Field Office, announces the arrest of a fugitive today wanted by the FBI in Miami.

Jermaine Parrish, 29, was arrested this morning in Pinson, Alabama, by the FBI along with law enforcement officers from the Hoover (Alabama) Police Department, Jefferson County (Alabama) Sheriff’s Office, and Shelby County (Alabama) Sheriff’s Office.

Parrish and seven other defendants were charged in a four-count indictment last November in connection with their participation in the distribution of cocaine, Ecstasy, and Oxycodone in Opa Locka, Florida.

There is no information as to status of his extradition to the Southern District of Florida available at this time.
